Iballa Ruano Moreno won the first world title for the Moreno twins: the PWA wave title in 1999. She won it again in 2006, 2007 and 2012, and then five years in a row, from 2014 to 2018; she took the 2014 title at the age of 36. Her twin sister, Daida Ruano Moreno, won the wave title eleven times.
