Philip Köster was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and sails for Germany. He was the PWA’s rookie of the year in 2008, and in September 2011, at 17, he won the wave world title, the first German to do so. He won it again in 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2019: five wave world titles.
