Pierre Mortefon of France won his first world title, in slalom, in 2019 at the age of 30, after losing the 2015 title to Antoine Albeau on event wins with equal points. In 2024 he became the first Slalom X world champion and also won the foil slalom title; he kept the Slalom X title in 2025.
