Sarah-Quita Offringa wins three world titles in one season

In 2025 Offringa is world champion in wave, freestyle and Slalom X, her 28th world title; in 2026 she adds a 29th.

Most professional windsurfers specialise: wave riding, freestyle and racing ask for different boards, different sails and different skills. In 2025 Sarah-Quita Offringa of Aruba won the world title in all three kinds of discipline in one season, as she had in 2024: wave, freestyle and Slalom X.

The wave title, decided at the Aloha Classic on Maui in October, was her 28th world title. In July 2026 she won the freestyle world title again, at Fuerteventura, for a total of 29: according to the PWA, 17 in freestyle, 7 in slalom and 5 in wave.

The record for PWA world titles, according to Guinness World Records, is Björn Dunkerbeck’s 42. Her own record is one of range: world titles in racing, freestyle and waves.
